Offsite Fabrication: Packaged Plant & Bespoke Skid-Mounted Solutions
Recent expansions within both our technical and manufacturing departments have equipped World Heat Cylinders with the necessary knowledge, expertise, and capabilities to offer an extended range of offsite fabrication services. This includes bespoke packaged plant designs and skid-mounted solutions, all meticulously manufactured within our own UK facility. By embracing offsite construction methods, we provide significant advantages for a variety of projects.
Opting for offsite manufacture of plant rooms and skid-mounted systems provides a whole host of benefits to all parties involved in a project. These advantages include, for instance:
- Compact & Optimised Design: We can design systems with a smaller footprint due to the controlled factory environment, optimising space utilisation.
- Factory-Tested Assurance: All packaged units undergo rigorous factory acceptance testing (FAT) before dispatch. This process verifies performance and quality, thereby minimising on-site issues.
- Shorter Construction Programme: Offsite fabrication significantly reduces on-site installation time. This allows for parallel working with other site activities and can lead to earlier project completion.
- Reduced Installation & Commissioning Time: Because much of the assembly and testing is done offsite, the time required for on-site installation and commissioning is considerably lessened.
- Financial Benefits: Shorter project times, reduced site labour, and minimised waste can all contribute to overall cost savings.
- Reduced Health & Safety Risk On Site: Performing complex assembly in a controlled factory environment inherently reduces the health and safety risks typically associated with on-site construction.
- Significant Reductions in Waste: Factory-based manufacturing allows for better material management and waste reduction compared to traditional on-site builds.
All of our offsite fabricated products and packaged plant solutions are manufactured under the quality umbrella of our BSI audited ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Indeed, from initial enquiry through to handover, we follow World Heat approved procedures. This meticulous approach ensures packages are delivered “On Time In Full” and precisely to our exacting standards and client specifications.
To provide our clients with the highest quality products, we consistently source our materials from some of the biggest and best companies around the world. Furthermore, World Heat manufactures to a range of British & International Standards and Codes, including the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), BS853, and PD5500 where applicable. All electrical components incorporated into our packaged solutions are, of course, compliant with the latest IEE Regulations.
For your complete peace of mind, we can also offer specific Documentation Packages. These may include Inspection Hold Points, Design Verification, Radiographic Testing, and Witness of Hydraulic Testing, tailored to your project needs.
Our technical department collaborates closely with the client throughout the design process for any offsite fabrication project. This ensures we incorporate all requirements into the final design. We complete all designs using Autodesk Inventor software. This powerful tool allows us to provide detailed drawings and 3D models in a range of different formats. Consequently, these can be easily incorporated into the client’s own Building Information Modelling (BIM) or system model.
Throughout the manufacturing stage, we can also work proactively to deliver project-specific services. Such services may include detailed lifting plans, delivery schedules, comprehensive documentation packages, and full Building Information Models (BIM data).
